Czech teachers visit CIV as part of a European project
Two teams of teachers from the Czech Republic (Prague) were recently at Vilamoura International School as part of the community-minded project “Inclusion and Multicultural Education”, which CIV is also part of.
This project, organised by the European Union, and with the support of the city of Prague, gives teaching staff from the Czech Republic the opportunity to come into contact with a variety of educational systems across Europe. They can experience day-to-day life at schools in different countries, appreciating their origins and their culture.
The Czech teachers, led by project mentor Katerina Klugova, spent three days at CIV during October. They observed lessons at the Kindergarten and Primary School, and looked into CIV’s annual projects. The teams were interested in the two current curriculums, educational philosophy, teaching methods, cultural diversity and various procedures within the school.
Since the project was initiated in October 2018, Portugal is the ninth country to receive a visit, following similar experiences in London (England), Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Cyprus.
