Identity. Passion. Education. After 33 years of international education, CIV presented itself in a new colour: blue. The Educational Director stated that: "considering our philosophy on improving the educational environment (besides the equipment and new classrooms), an investment was also made in the appearance of the school. Blue was the chosen colour, because it conveys calmness, wellbeing and confidence - essential to success. "

The beginning of the new school year (focussing on Freedom), was centred upon the enthusiasm and strong bonds of friendship that the summer holidays intensify. The renovation of some educational spaces, the acquisition of equipment for the Physics and Chemistry laboratories, as well as the acquisition of kits for the robotics club, were some of the developments made to welcome the academic year.

CIV currently hosts 650 students in both the Portuguese and English Studies, organised to follow a shared educational project that is focused on the development of cognitive and socio-affective skills, in an international and multilingual environment. Multiculturalism is reflected in the approximately 50 nationalities of its community which reinforces intercultural dialogue and motivates humanist and democratic values.

Cidália Ferreira Bicho reiterated "the importance that each of us has in building each other’s freedom," reinforcing the active role that each student plays in creating a better world.
